The Cradle

Prehistoric negatives of Dan Holdsworth.

The Cradle

Chthonic landscapes by Dan Holdsworth are so eternal and natural that they seem unreal. The mountain skeletons of Iceland stand for the most ancient womb. This cradle will be filled with the animated eruptions of original mothers any moment. There will be an instant when the nature will flare up, complete with its own consequences of the human race but still we have only gloomy edifices of stone in front of us, those magnificent palaces of subterranean Eros prepared to reach for the stars through millions of years, like an immortal flower.
